The Green Team Superheroes are leaders, learners, explorers, collaborators, doers, and winners. They follow a proven method of data collection and analysis while implementing action plans to support their goals. They are made up of upper-class students with a passion for sustainability and the desire to lead the school in reducing its carbon footprint. As the classroom leaders, they conduct audits using the Eco-Schools USA Pathways to Sustainability, advise school staff on action plans, and deliver presentations about the data collected while monitoring progress during contests. They lower energy costs, implement recycling programs, educate on sustainable food, and set an example that together, we can fight a global problem with a local approach.
